Short answer: Systeme.io publishes a $0 plan with core funnel, email and course features. It is a useful way to test a new offer before paying for software, but the feature and contact limits make it important to plan the upgrade path.

What the free plan includes

The current official pricing page lists 2,000 contacts, three sales funnels, one email campaign, one automation rule and one custom domain on the free tier. It also includes basic course creation. Details for student limits and other feature caps can vary by how the vendor describes features, so verify the live plan comparison before committing.

When the Startup plan becomes relevant

Systeme.io lists Startup at $17/month, with 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels and 10 automation rules. The practical upgrade trigger is usually a needed limit: more contacts, more landing-page flows or an additional automation sequence.

What about Webinar and Unlimited?

The vendor lists Webinar at $47/month and Unlimited at $97/month. Those levels offer greater capacity and more advanced workflow possibilities. They are not automatically better for a new creator; pay for a capability once it is needed by your actual business.

What to test before you buy anything

  1. Create a simple landing page with one specific lead magnet or offer.
  2. Build the welcome sequence and a test checkout.
  3. Confirm course access and payment confirmation emails.
  4. Measure real demand before building complex automations.
  5. Record which free-plan limit you expect to reach first.

If your main product is a recurring community with ongoing discussions, also assess Skool. Its community experience and Systeme.io’s sales-funnel emphasis are different; the decision should not be based on the presence of a free plan alone.

A live-example feasibility test

The published Free plan currently allows 2,000 contacts, three funnels and one automation rule, among other limits. Describe the first customer journey in writing before upgrading: one lead magnet, a welcome email and a purchase page may fit comfortably. For multiple products, separate sequences and high contact volume, review the actual Startup and Webinar limits.
